A filter is a rule for your email software(like Outlook Express) to follow. Filters tell your email software where to put certain types of messages. For example, a filter can send certain messages straight to the garbage, and other, more important
messages to a special folder.

Combined with folders, filters can help you get organized and save time. A few uses for filters include: Separating business and personal emails, Singling out email from particular people, such as your spouse, children or friends , Sending spam and pornography straight to the garbage.

How do you set up filters in your email program? Follow these three steps:

A: Make a Plan
What types of messages you regularly receive? Do you have a lot of business and personal emails mixed together? Consider creating a separate "Business" folder for emails from your workplace. Do you receive a lot of regular email newsletters? Consider setting up a folder for them. Create a list of folders that you would like to use to organize your inbox.

B: Make Folders
Separate your email inbox into folders you want.

C: Make Filters
Now, create filters to send your emails to the appropriate folder. Once you've set up the filters, your messages will automatically be sent to the correct folder every time you check your email.

Does your computer act like it's 5 years old instead of a 5 months? Your high speed bandwidth turning into traffic in Honolulu going Ewa Bound on a Friday afternoon? Think you have a virus? Lucky for you, you have us.

There are a lot of things that could be wrong with your computer. Most likely, it is an user error. But lets just imagine you are a computer guru like us for a second and exhausted your options.

The first thing you want to do is to go to understand what SPYWARE is. Spyware is like a roach. A nasty bit of code that runs around in your computer, collects information about you and sends it people like market researchers. The next thing you know, there are so many lil spy friends in your computer they slow things down. How do we get rid of them? Easy. We suggest downloading both of these Spyware solutions and running them one after the other. They seem to work best as a combo. The best thing is they are both free!

They say its pretty important to have a firewall. Why? Cause Hackers can snoop on you at anytime right? So what do you do when the RIAA starts snooping around to see if you have any "illegal" copies of music etc you are sharing on the internet? How do you think that all of those guys got busted in recent weeks?

PeerGuardian blocks them out. Every time you start it, it will download a list of known IP addresses the RIAA uses to catch file swappers. Is it 100%? of course not. Sometimes, an unknown IP can be used.

Is file swapping legal? Heck no! Don't do it! If you really want to hear the new song by 30 cents, make a run to the CD store and buy it. Then burn copies and give it to your friends! hehe that's a joke.
