 Remember back in the days when we did a lot of outsourcing to big corporate partners? We sent our staff to these companies and they did everything from helping with new computer rollout programs to repairing to server support to you name it. Well, fast forward to now. We just buddied up with another customer and all we can say about this customer is: We Say Yes.

Life at the farm has been busy. We have had a rash of virus infected machines including the MyDoom Virus (which is now the world’s most spread virus). If you think something is wrong with your computer or it’s acting kind of funny, give us a jingle. You know for sure we can take a look at it.

We want to wish you and your family a wonderful February. We are celebrating a birthday this month in our office. If you see our Creative Director running around (she has been busy!), then no less give her a Happy Birthday.

 
 
 
 
  We have been getting bombed with viruses and all sorts of malicious things. Rather than a tip this month, I will share a couple websites with you. These sites allow you to download these really cool programs that scan and repair your computer. Of course we want your business but at the same time we like to educate our customers because after all, education = good and no knowledge = bad.… Start with this:

There is an ugly thing out there called SpyWare. It’s really nasty. If you want to know more about it, do a google search. Chances are you have some on your computer right now. Try downloading these two programs to get rid of them:

One is SpyBot. This is a cool device. Free too. Download it, install it and run it. You can find it here http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download Then go here http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and download AdAware. Install and run it right after SpyBot. Doing this will remove all, if not most of the SpyWare on your computer.

Remember, like any other “computer health” programs, you need to keep them up to date by downloading the updates. Now, if you still don’t have an anti virus program installed, you are bad bad bad bad! Go to antivirus.com or housecall.trendmicro.com. These sites will let you download a program (safe) and scan your computer for free. If it can, it will even try to repair problems for you. Otherwise, go and purchase McAfee or Norton AntiVirus. Trust me, a smart surfer is well worth it.
